Quintanilla and Hill Back Riker Alongside 50+ Community Endorsements

Palm Springs, CA – Today, the Brandon Riker for Congress Campaign in California’s 48th Congressional District proudly announced the endorsements of Palm Desert City Councilmember Karina Quintanilla and Nashville Metro Councilmember Olivia Hill, adding to Riker’s expanding coalition of community champions.

“Brandon brings a practical, solutions-focused approach to the economic challenges facing working families and small businesses. He understands the rising cost of housing, healthcare, and everyday necessities, and he’s committed to fighting for policies that make life more affordable and secure,” said Councilwoman At-Large Olivia Hill. “Brandon listens to people in the community, values fairness and opportunity, and believes an economy should work for everyone, not just the wealthy.”

Riker, a fourth‑generation Californian, trained economist, entrepreneur, and former organizer for President Obama’s 2008 campaign, has built a campaign focused on expanding economic opportunity, reducing costs for working families, protecting Social Security and Medicare, and defending access to affordable healthcare. His campaign has generated strong momentum across the region, with support from 50+ local leaders, business owners, healthcare professionals, and a grassroots movement of over 650 volunteers.

“I’m deeply grateful to Councilmembers Hill and Quintanilla for their endorsements and leadership,” said Brandon Riker. “Both know what it takes to serve their communities with integrity, and their support underscores our shared commitment to uplifting every family in CA‑48. Together, we’ll bring a fresh voice to Congress that listens, delivers, and puts people first.”

Quintanilla, the first Latina mayor of Palm Desert and Hill, Tennessee’s first transgender elected official are historic leaders that broke barriers and expanded representation in our democracy. Their endorsements underscore their commitment to uplifting leaders who reflect the diversity and values of our communities. With strong grassroots backing and a clear policy agenda focused on affordability, opportunity, and predictability, Riker’s campaign is positioned to win in what is shaping up to be a critical race for the 2026 cycle.
